A Little Bit About Me...

It truly depends on the student and the subject. I try to adapt my teaching style to what the student needs. If one approach is not working, then we can work together to find an approach that does. I believe that it is important for the student to be able to relate to the teacher and it is the teachers job to create that connection.
Over the past 15 years I have had variety of different teaching experiences. I taught literature as a TA at UC Santa Barbara while studying for my Masters. I have tutored K-12 students in both Math and English. While studying for my undergraduate I assited in running a homeless shelter where I taught many of the children reading, writing, and math. I have a passion for teaching and am a mother myself and understand the true value of educating our youth.

I am comfortable working with all age levels. I am patient, easy going, and a good listener. One of the teaching style that I use is; demonstration or personal model teaching which focuses on delivering content, but through modeling instead of lecturing. I have an MBA in Accounting, and a bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems, which has enabled me to gain understanding in many areas of business, economics, finance, accounting, and computer systems. During the last 10 years I have tutored students in Microsoft office suite systems, accounting, mathematics, and general business subjects.
