When a question is asked, I am not going to simply just tell the student the answer. I would want them to think it out and try and figure it out for themselves. I would however guide them in the right direction and even ask them other questions they may know in order for them to figure out the intial problem. I feel that these types of interactions are a more effective way of learning. Also, writing things down helps tremedously because not only are you thinking it, but you're seeing it and reading it as well. I am a very easy person to get along with, and I am also very encouraging. I enjoy helping others whether it's in an academic environment or not.
