As a Mississippi State University graduate, I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering, which has enabled me to become proficient in many areas of math and science. I believe that every student deserves a quality education, and it is my responsibility not just to lecture or impart information, but to ensure that students gain a fundamental understanding of the material being presented. Consequently, I believe that learning should be an expansive process. Students need to acquire knowledge, retain it, and build upon it rather than memorize bits of information that will be later forgotten.
