A Little Bit About Me...

The most important thing about my teaching style is that I believe every child can achieve academic excellence and can be interested in learning. I believe that it is up to me, as a teacher or a tutor, to engage the student(s). A huge part of this is being very transparent about where the student starts, what our goals are for where they are going, and how they are doing along the way. I love working with students to figure out what gets them excited and how they learn best so I can incorporate these strategies into my teaching. I know that by getting students interested and excited about their education, I am helping create lifelong learners who are on a great path in school and in life!

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned two bachelors degrees from LSU: one in Mathematics and one in Computer Sciences. But I would be more interested in tutoring FRENCH. I am a native FRENCH speaker and I've been in the country for over 20 years. I go back to France every summer to visit my family and would like to share my experience and teach the languague to students in the Spring, TX area. I've also been a tutor for the past 8 years at Tutor.com and tutor Elementary math, Middle school math and Algebra.
I would describe myself as a very patient and understanding person. I always make sure that the student understand the concept and is comfortable with the explanations given to him/her before continuing with the problem. Being successful in tutoring, is realizing that the student is able to complete a problem on his/her own without my help.

A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring began in high school, when I tutored younger students in any subject, from Math to English. I learned to love tutoring. I enjoy helping people to realize their full potential. The most rewarding part of tutoring, in my opinion, is the look on the child's face when something finally makes sense. I have obtained a BBA from the University of Toledo. While in college, I spent a year as a tutor and mentor to younger students, and to help teach a Freshman Orientation course. I have also been responsible for training new hires at my last place of employment. During my two years, I trained 4 new employees in my department, as well as cross-training 2 employees from other departments.
