My approach to teaching begins with having a high expectation for what my students can accomplish. Therefore, my goal is, in part, to help my students love learning and to translate the love for learning into higher achievements. I try to inspire the students In terms of style, I explain the basic concept being taught and then illustrate by way of examples. I combine a bit of lecturing with meaningful interaction. Next, it is the students term to practice what has been taught. I may use a variety of interactive learning games in order to re-enforce the concept being taught. Somewhere down the line some for of testing is given for the purpose of checking to see if the student is grasping the concepts being taught.

First and foremost, it is important to me and, especially for my students, that we have excellent rapport. I want to know their academic goals and what is most important to them as we establish our tutoring relationship. All throughout my High School & College experience, I was inspired by Ancient World History. In addition to competing as a collegiate athlete, I have also traveled to Europe twice on educational study abroad programs, which has enabled me to gain a much deeper understanding. My degree contains an emphasis in Language which means I spent considerable time translating Latin and Ancient Greek texts. During the past eight years I have tutored in academics, trained students for their sport and was employed as a summer Instructor in Jr. Lifeguard programs and Aquatic sports programs.
