I have found that any student can learn. The key to a student's success is that education must be approached in the correct manner for that individual student. Not all students learn in the same fashion, and that must be considered in planning and implementing lessons. I believe that education needs to be approached in a fun way that coincides with the student's individual interests and learning styles. If the student loves sports, I would find innovative ways to include that in my tutoring so that he/she would stay focused and retain information. I just graduated with a BA in Psychology and are two courses short of a minor in Spanish and Sociology. I've always been very strong in the English/Language Arts/Writing areas as well. I am currently a certified substitute teacher and also already do some elementary tutoring. Some of my previous tutoring experience include writing, some psychological statistics and some basic math/language skills.
I love to teach and help others in general. I always had difficulty when I was younger finding a tutor or some help in my studies that I could understand easily.
