My comments on tutoring Biology : Bachelors degree in biological sciences with a 3.6 GPA, A's in biology and general chemistry classes, as well as human genetics

I have not tutored publicly before, but have tutored friends children/ family members for standardized tests such as the high school history and english statewide tests. I have tutored 5+ people in college algebra (all earning A's) as well as helped high school students with algebra. I am probably best at writing papers and reading comprehension type tasks. Because I have little experience, I would be willing to take reduced pay for a couple of sessions to assess if you feel I am helping your child, and then we could set a more formal agreement. I can help almost any age student from 6th grade to the college level.

While working to obtain a degree in Elementary Education at the University of Mississippi, I was able to experience a variety of tutoring and instructional techniques in the K-6 grades. I started working in the school system in 2001 volunteering as a tutor for at risk kids. I tutored numerous mathematic course for over 6 years. I have earned a one bachelor degree in biology and hope to earn my second degree in mathematics as well as in education. I have learned to do research and solve proofs. I'm an assertive motivator. Learning should not be repulsive, children love to learn by examples that they can relate to.
