Experience Summary

I am a native Russian speaker with more than 15 years of the subject studies and 5+ years of private tutoring. Having started to help my peers with Russian in High School, I graduated with the economics degree and have learned a lot about how to build classes, what method to choose etc, but I prefer to teach more practical and useful things, and I've always been fascinated by linguistics.

Teaching Style

After I moved to the United States in 2015 I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in accounting, alongside teaching Russian to people around me. I take pride in all of my students who have achieved remarkable results for a short time.

You could commute back and forth to a group class, taught by professor who doesn’t even know your name… OR you could find a real-life professional native speaker just minutes from you? One who comes straight to your home (or we can meet elsewhere) at the time that best suits your schedule? I’m here to help! Let’s make Russian Language learning fun! I believe that each student is different, so I always do my best to adapt my lessons to your needs and your learning style. However, I don’t think it’s possible to teach “only grammar” or “only conversation”. I offer my students a lot of conversation practice, but also grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading exercises. I also enjoy sharing a whole lot of Russian traditions and specialties of the culture. Nelson Mandela put it best, but I feel EXCACTLY the same about the language learning process: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
