With several years of classroom and first-hand experience studying Arabic language and culture, I can provide clear and personalized lessons for beginner and intermediate students of Arabic. Having lived in Jordan for six months and having studied the language extensively, I understand the intellectual process of students who are new to Arabic and the nuances of the language which must be understood for effective comprehension. As a NSEP Boren Scholar with a degree in International Studies and Middle Eastern Culture and Society, I can tie language lessons to contemporary political and social themes. I can also discuss professional opportunities and career tracks which can be opened and expanded by knowledge of the Arabic language.
