Experience Summary
I have over three decades of graphic design experience, and I've been teaching graphic design at the college and high school level for the past 10 years, both in a classroom setting and in mentoring programs. I am certified in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, and I have experience in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Final Cut Pro, and Procreate (on the iPad). I am an expert illustrator and brand developer, but I enjoy all areas of graphic design, including print, digital, social media, web and app design.
Teaching Style
I have a very relaxed, personal approach to instruction. I like to set clear expectations for my students as well as for myself and help them learn at a comfortable yet challenging pace. I'm skilled at putting highly technical information into very plain terms so that anyone can grasp them and put them to use.
My Hobbies
I am fond of music, playing guitar and singing; I read science fiction and books on self-improvement; I enjoy video games and tabletop games, running, travel and spending time with my wife and kids.

I've been drawing since I was a toddler, and have a tremendous amount of experience and expertise in the subject. I am skilled at working with pencil and pen, and able to draw just about anything, whether rendering something in view or creating something from my imagination.
