I have been a Controller for the past 8 years with small-to-midsize manufacturing companies. During the preceding 8 years I was an ERP consultant working primarily with manufacturing and distribution companies, implementing accounting, distribution and manufacturing software. Prior to that I worked as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Cost Manager, Cost Analyst and Accounting Systems Analyst in a variety of companies and industries.
Provided below are some of my accomplishments during the above employment:
1. Transformed accounting departments with poor systems, procedures, polices and staff into efficient, well-performing teams able to meet deadlines and provide value-added services to company managers.
2. Enabled companies to maximize the value of the ERP systems by combining the information available with analytical tools like report writers, and data query tools to provide meaningful management information.
3. Provided methods for measuring labor productivity and efficiency resulting in significant process improvements.
4. Constructed standard hourly cost rates to enable estimating and job costing in make-to-order environments.
5. Created policies and procedures for freight claims, returns & allowances, and physical inventories.
