Experience Summary
Between my time at Burlington County College and Rutgers, I have been studying graphic design for seven years. I have always been the creative-thinking type, and making art since I could hold a pencil. Being a graphic designer presents a lot of real world problems (client expectations, old software, crashing programs, up-saving or down-saving files between different design versions etc.) and I have solved enough of these problems to know what to expect and when to expect and just how to handle it.

Teaching Style
I'm not better than you; we're equals. I'm just a tutor helping you understand a problem. I don't condescend, or insult, or expect a perfect outcome the first time. If my teachers hadn't shown me patience and understanding when I had trouble, I would have been too discouraged to want to continue. I want to relate the information to something the student can understand, and I am certainly patient when they continue to have trouble; which they will. Design is not rocket science, but it is not easy, either. I want to make learning fun and easy. That's when I did my best in school; when teachers made the work more enjoyable, rather than a chore. I want to have fun while teaching students and leave them with a positive outlook on their educational experience.
My Hobbies
Easiest way to explain myself is an athletic nerd, I suppose. I love video games and trading card games, but I equally enjoy getting outside and playing. I love to fish, snowboard, and play soccer, as well. I try to keep my life entertaining, so I'm never afraid to try something new.
Top Subjects
Graphic Design
Proficiency: Experienced, and one of my top Subjects!
2013 graduate of Rutgers University. I majored in graphic design and can assist with all stages of the design process; from conceptualizing a design, to the finished product. I am skilled with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (CS2-CS6) with working knowledge in Adobe After Effects. The programs can seem a little overwhelming at times, but I am able to explain the processes and program tools in a simple and "plain-english" manner.
