Experience Summary
Well, throughout my life, I have worked with fellow students to foster better understanding of class material both in myself and in my classmates. In addition to informal, unpaid cooperation in mastering class material, I have also held positions tutoring both as a freelance tutor and as an hourly employee of the Academic Advancement Center, a Trio Program run at Colorado State University. At this job, where I have worked for the past two years, I have tutored low-income, first-generation, and disabled students (both physical and learning disabilities) in a variety of subjects including Psychology, French, Composition, Sociology, and Spanish.

Teaching Style
I tend to use the socratic method a lot to help my students arrive at their own conclusions and understanding of material, paired with some basic, interactive instruction when students do not already understand some of the material involved. Whenever possible, I prefer students teach me the material to some extent, when possible, as deeper understanding can often be reached through teaching others. In addition, I have a lot of experience teaching good stdy skills and habits, which usually factor into tutoring sessions in some way.
My Hobbies
In addition to being passionate about education and educational opportunity, I also love to play guitar, to sing, to learn foreign languages, and to cook, which I'm also willing to give some basic lessons in. :)
