Experience Summary
My experience has led to three college degrees, and a world of experience housed in science and mathematics. I have also mentored 12 undergraduates as a graduate student. These students have gone on to present projects at professional conferences and have achieved various accomplishments such as being admitted into graduate programs, medical programs, and NASA.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is VERY approachable. I like to break down elaborate concepts and apply them directly to everyday occurrences as much as possible. For example, when I would teach middle school students math such as fractions and percentages, I would relate these to money so as not complicate understanding. I also use every day occurrences to explain statistics. For example, if I'm interested in why people decide to buy a car (outcome), I'm interested in miles per gallon of gas, crash safety, and tire tread (independent variables). I would use a linear regression to determine the variable that has the most significant affect on predicting the outcome.
Top Subjects
Algebra
I have experience using basic Algebraic principles for over 15 years in my education. I am skilled in mathematics, having been placed in excelled courses during middle school and high school. I completed math up to Calculus II in undergraduate coursework, and have taken more than 30 hours of statistical coursework in graduate school. Statistics use a TON of math :)
Algebra I
Proficiency: Experienced, and one of my top Subjects!

Statistics
Proficiency: Expert, and one of my top Subjects!
I have taken more than 30 hours of coursework in Statistics in my graduate coursework. Statistical methods learned include: descriptive statistics (mean, mode, median, histograms, distributions, etc.), ANOVA, ANCOVA, Repeated Measures, t-test, Regression, Hierarchical Linear Modeling, and bivariate correlations. I also have experience on calculating odds ratios and relative risk. I have books on basic descriptive statistics and biostatistics to demonstrate further application to my students.
Anatomy
Proficiency: Expert, and one of my top Subjects!
I was a Pre-Med during my undergraduate coursework, and studied Kinesiology for my graduate coursework. In short...I LOVE ANATOMY :)! I have books a PLENTY to guide each student who studies under me, as well as detailed notes, and coloring books. For the coloring books, although it sounds rudimentary, it is VERY useful and aided in the guidance of committing locations and names of bones and tissue to memory.
