Experience Summary
Most of my experience comes from substitute teaching. I have been a certified local substitute teacher since September of 2010. I have taught everything from math and science to physical education and music while working as a local substitute teacher. I was able to provide additional service by mentoring individuals who were struggling with material in lessons and assignments.
Other professional experience comes from working as a private voice tutor since May of 2010. I have coached many individuals both young and old through voice lessons to establish a core of healthy vocal routines and technique.
Additionally, I gathered experience through directing my local church choir from January-May of 2011. I conducted every two weeks with additional performances in the Lenten season, led weekly rehearsals and chose all music for the choir, which was coordinated with weekly readings.
Top Subjects
Math
Proficiency: Expert, and one of my top Subjects!
Math was one of my strongest core subjects in school. I received a 33 in the math portion of the ACT. I have taught math classes several times. I have also mentored struggling math students with great success.
Musical
I was the co-director of Deshler High School's spring musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 2011. I worked with students individually to improve their acting and singing technique.
Trombone
Proficiency: Expert, and one of my top Subjects!
Trombone is my instrument of choice (aside from voice). I have experience performing in Doane College's top band, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for four years. I have also performed in Doane College's Jazz Ensemble for four years, along with various other groups including brass quintets and larger brass ensembles.
Vocals
Proficiency: Expert, and one of my top Subjects!
I am a private voice tutor. This is my strongest suit.
