While pursuing an undergraduate program in Biology, I was fortunate to join the peer mentoring program at my school. As a peer mentor, I tutored in General Chemistry 1 and 2 for two years. I made counseled and guarded my peers in my area of study I also tutored in calculus 1 for a program by the division of science called City College Academic for Professional Preparation (CCAPP). I later tutored in statistics for the premedical office at my school.

In the classroom I rely on traditional lecture, supplemented by Powerpoint presentations, animations, and lists and diagrams on the white board. I usually assign a research paper. In the last few semesters I've implemented through Blackboard some online testing, as well as tutorial "homework" quizzes, where the students get feedback directing them to coverage of particular sections of the text.
