While I enjoy working with a younger population, I have had more experience with middle school, high school, and college students. I am very patient and easy-going, but I also expect that my students perform the tasks asked of them in the time given, as to further reach our goals. I have a descriptive way of teaching, but I am also a firm believer in using abstract methods in order to obtain and understanding. Visual aids can also be very helpful, such as using pictures, every-day items, or a chemistry model set. I am an Indiana State licensed Music Teacher. My style of teaching music to students meets the Indiana State Music Standards, and Gardner's 9 Intelligences including the incorporation of various learning styles to fit the needs of each individual student.
