As a six-year English teacher, I used to begin each of my classes with a grammar exercise in order to remind students of the grammar rules and also to keep them proficient in the correct ways of speaking and writing formal English. I am a very hands-on learner, so I tend to try to make things as hands on or as real to life as possible. Since graduating from Baptist Bible College in 2006, I have been teaching high school English in Indiana for six years now. I taught three years at Bethesda Christian School in Brownsburg, where I spanned English 9, 10, 11, Senior Speech, and Advanced Composition for seniors. In 2010 I began teaching at Faith Christian School in Lafayette; there I taught English 9, 10, and 11. I was also the Yearbook Advisor two years at Faith. July 1, 2013, I had my first baby, and I have decided to stay at home and raise her instead of returning to the classroom.
