My comments on tutoring VB.net : spent 8 months at Shell oil fixing and enhancing a complex Visual Basic program using Visual Studio; have greatly speeded up some Visual Basic code for a friend, written some very fast mathematical code in Visual Basic for this same friend

My teaching style is based loosely on that of my major college math professer (and head of the department), which was originated at the University of Texas by his thesis advisor and another colleague. It is basically the Socratic method as applied to teaching mathematics, to try to draw the student out and get him or her to think on their own. Don't risk your grade/money on mere paper qualifications

You will see many ads by former or current professors trying to make a buck on the side. They are terrible tutors - they spent their whole careers having students beg them for a better grade. I have spent my whole life learning how to explain the most complex concepts to absolutely anybody. You will also see many people touting a related professional position as qualification.
