Trombone is one of my top subjects! Trombone is my instrument of choice (aside from voice). I have experience performing in Doane College's top band, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for four years. I have also performed in Doane College's Jazz Ensemble for four years, along with various other groups including brass quintets and larger brass ensembles.

My teaching style is tailored to the student. If I see an opportunity to improve the student's learning by using a different style, I will take it.
Most of my experience comes from substitute teaching. I have been a certified local substitute teacher since September of 2010. The music man

My start in music began with trips from a young age to my mom's rehearsals. As a young child my first instrument of interest was the drums and noticing that I wasn't that good (sister playing better) I quickly moved on to other instruments. During my tenth grade year I joined my high school's marching band playing the trombone. I decided to continue the trombone as my primary instrument while in college at Grambling State University. There I was also able to study other instruments such as bass guitar, piano and organ. Going to college in Louisiana, which has such a musically rich environment, allowed me the opportunity to play venues such as casinos, clubs, appear in commercials and even a halftime show for super bowl 32 as well as other NFL games. My goal for teaching music is to give students the discipline to achieve all of their life's goals.

I started playing piano at a very young age (7 years old) and afterwards started to pick up other instruments along the way which resulted in all county for Tuba (3rd chair 2010) and in that same year becoming a drum major. I am an active trombonist in NYC. My comments on tutoring Trombone : I would say that I am capable of teaching trombone but it would have to be at the beginner level

I have been doing something in music for 30 years. I have a B.A in music from Wright State University which I obtained in 2003. I also have 6 years of private music instruction on various instruments. I have played in several different groups consisting of a wide range of music. I have classical training but I also know how to teach rock, pop, jazz and metal on certain instruments

Trombone is one of my top subjects! As there is no category to list Euphonium or Tuba on here, I can also tutor for these two instruments as well.

I believe that there is never a single way to teach students; even day to day learning may differ with a single student, and I feel it's the teachers job to do their best to cater to this fluctuation. With music, there are basic and advanced methods, and a lot of practice in between. I don't believe that just practice makes perfect, and neither does just talent. Perfect practice makes perfect. Teachers help students achieve and preform at their best.
I started playing music when i was ten years old, and have continued my knowledge and talent ever since. I can currently play twelve instruments at at-least a basic level, four of those twelve at an experienced level, and two at a highly advanced level.
