Trombone is my instrument of choice (aside from voice). I have experience performing in Doane College's top band, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for four years. I have also performed in Doane College's Jazz Ensemble for four years, along with various other groups including brass quintets and larger brass ensembles. Most of my experience comes from substitute teaching. I have been a certified local substitute teacher since September of 2010. I have taught everything from math and science to physical education and music while working as a local substitute teacher. I was able to provide additional service by mentoring individuals who were struggling with material in lessons and assignments. I graduated on December 16th, 2011 from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelors degree in Music Education with Cum Laude Honors (3.4 GPA). I have been teaching English and History education for three years. I have experience on the 7th, 8th 9th and 10th grade levels. For the last three years my high school English courses have been centered on ACT prep. for the ACT/MME students take their junior year.
