Kind and patient tutor for math, science & computing.

Although not degreed in math, science or computers, they were my favorite subjects. More importantly, I am gifted in communicating concepts into terms my students understand and grasp. Repetition doesn't equate to learning, it's a component, it's a way to practice, but it is not how the mind grasps the concept. I work for a community college and have done advising, enrollment, testing, phone directory, and student sevices. I have attended many professional development workshops on education.

I graduated with an Elementary Teaching Degree from a small university in Michigan. Immediately, I went south to New Orleans to assist in the application of an after school program for inner city students. After this semester, I moved to Accra, Ghana in West Africa for three years. The first half-year, I was with a local school assisting in a classroom of 44 first graders. For the next two and a half years, I taught at an international school.
