 Trombone is one of my top subjects!I have played jazz, orchestral, wind ensemble, folkloric columbian, cuban and brazilian music, new music, improvised music, funk, r&b, and more. I have a very wide range of experiences that I use to help my students find out what they want to play.
I am an active trombonist in NYC. I play monthly with Jack Jeffers and the New York Classics at the Zinc Bar, I have performed with The Roots, Oliver Lake, David Murray, Chia's Dance Party, The Astoria Symphony, and more. Trombone is my major instrument and I can teach from beginners up to the professional level. Drums are my secondary instrument, and I can teach beginners up to the intermediate level. I like guiding students to the areas that they wish to focus on, while simultaneously strengthening their weaknesses. I use demonstration, visualisation, rote, or whatever I can use to help students grow.
I can teach individual lessons on trombone or drums. I can also coach small ensembles like rhythm sections (piano, bass, guitar, drums).
