At the early age of 14, I discovered that I had a “knack” for music when I had the opportunity for a friend to show me how to play a few basic chords on his guitar (because I didn’t own one myself). Although press- ing down on the strings hurt my fingertips, and my fingers kept slipping out of position, I fell in love with the guitar’s sound when it all finally came together... Eventually, my mother bought me my first guitar!
