I am currently entering ASL 5 at college level, I am a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society, and have tutoring experience. I would say my teaching style is that everyone has the potential to improve and that everyone has the ability to learn. I am very patient and my goal is to help every individual student's needs, whatever that may be. My schedule is very flexible and I am available weekdays, evenings and some weekends. I recently graduated from Ayala High School with honors. I have been studying ASL for more than 4 years now and I am eager to share my experience and knowledge with those eager to learn. I'm working on becoming an interpreter; because I'm not an interpreter yet I do not consider my self an expert. I've participated in several Deaf Culture events. I completed all of my ASL classes at the University of Florida under a deaf professor. I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child. I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.
