My comments on tutoring Saxophone : I have taken a college woodwinds methods course where learned how to play and teach saxophone, clarinet, and flute. I have also played clarinet for several years.

I have played Trumpet for 9 years, Clarinet for 3, and have taken numerous college methods courses that teach me how to play and teach many other instruments. I am a music education major at Towson University, but I live near Salisbury, MD, and love to help and tutor children in this field during the summer. I do not yet have a degree, but am looking for paid teaching experience to put on my resume.

I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. It was there that i learned that you really only learn a small fraction of what you need to help you in life in the classroom. The rest must be learned on your own or with some one-on-one counseling. Those whom I tutor are not just students, they are the beloved son or daughter of a parent who wants to see them acheive their greatest potential! :) so I make sure to treat them with the love and patience which they deserve. I choose to never pressure students, but to make them feel as comfortable at all times. I do, however, have great motivational skills!
