My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : Very Strong

I did an Undergraduate in Science with an honors in Chemistry, followed by an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry. I was actively involved in Cancer Research in the Department of Biochemistry and have authored over 40 publications. Although I have expertise in Chemistry and Biochemistry, I have a passion for Math that includes Algebra 1 &2 , Pre-calculus, and Geometry.
My favorite teaching style is the classical Black Board style that may involve Power Point presentations. I am very patient with my students and like to believe that I have the capability to make every student learn.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : Expert

While attending California State University of San Bernardino and working on my bachelors degree in mathematics I had many opportunities to gain experience. I was a private tutor which included students from elementary, middle, and high school. One child I tutored, who was in middle school, was very bright but had ADHD and it was difficult for him to concentrate. I worked with him for about a year and by the time he was ready for high school, he was at the top of his class and was ready to start Geometry in high school. I tutored high schools students through programs such as Upward Bound as well as Inland Counties Mathematics Project. Pre-Calculus is one of my top subjects! Teaching Pre-Calculus for the first time this year. I am able to teaching topics with clarity and understanding.

I have been teaching since 2004. I have taught in an inner city school ( four years) and I am currently teaching at Churchill High School (fifth year). I understand the struggle students have with mathematics. I understand the frustration when a topic is explained but understanding is not achieved.
