German I have studied German for 7 years. I began in the 8th grade, from there it quickly became a hobby of mine. After freshman year of high school I spent 3 weeks in Holzkirchen, at a language school. When I returned I skipped a year of German. Finding that not challenging enough, I skipped yet another year over winter break. So, by spring of my sophomore year, I was in AP German with seniors. I scored a 4 on the AP exam and beginning in the fall of my Junior year I began taking classes and University of Nebraska - Omaha. It was in my junior year I applied for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange. I won and spent my entire senior year of high school at Martin Luther Gymnasium in Hartha, Germany. Bass Guitar is one of my top subjects! I have been playing bass guitar for 8 years. I will bring my own equipment, and I would like the student to have his or her own as well.

I have found over the course of my schoolwork that I excelled most in math. I would consider myself a strong candidate for your child's tutor in this subject. My hands-on approach teaches through a student's mistakes. I point out where the error occured, and then show how to correct it as we work through the problems. This+repitition=success. I am also a passionate musician, and I can teach bass guitar to beginner and intermediate level musicians.
I prefer a hands on method where I give the student examples and I watch as they work through them. This is especially true in Math. I have found the best way for a student to learn is to correct mistakes as they go. Through repition this will bring success.

My comments on tutoring Bass Guitar : I have played in several bands, and have been at it for 16 years, I can help beginning, and intermediate levels with technique.

Recently began tutoring elementary level math and reading, and am loving it. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy working with the children, and find it very rewarding, and enriching. I am looking to expand my experience, develop new techniques and improve on them while helping people learn, with a genuine interest in their success.
