My comments on tutoring Oboe : I have taken a college methods course where I was taught how to play and teach oboe and bassoon.

I have played Trumpet for 9 years, Clarinet for 3, and have taken numerous college methods courses that teach me how to play and teach many other instruments. I am a music education major at Towson University, but I live near Salisbury, MD, and love to help and tutor children in this field during the summer. I do not yet have a degree, but am looking for paid teaching experience to put on my resume.

Oboe is one of my top subjects! Studied oboe performance at the University of South Florida with Amy Collins.

I try to make my students feel as comfortable as possible and use positive constructive criticism in order to build the student's confidence as a mucisian. I do expect my students to work hard and practice as much as they can in order to improve their skills.
I have been playing and studying oboe for 13 years. I held the position of principal of the USF Symphony Orchestra oboe section from Fall 2006 through Spring of 2010. Oboe is such a unique instrument and requires certain specialized skills. I currently make my own reeds for my use and for my students' use. I have taught many masterclasses at local high schools and tutored many students.

Online Music Lessons and Elementary Test Prep/Homework Help

I am currently a general music teacher at Samsula Academy, an elementary school in New Smyrna Beach, FL. I teach general music classes to students in grades K-5, as well as chorus and band. I received my Bachelor's degree from Marywood University in Scranton, PA and began my Master's studies at University of Central Florida.
