FROM 1970 till 1991 I was a teacher of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus at Kiev High School #4. Professional but friendly English ESOL teacher

Teaching experience in class environments and one-to one is over 7 years. I'm one of those lucky ones who loves their profession! I'm a friendly but demanding tutor students feel comfortable to learn with. I also speak Russian, German, some Spanish and a little bit Italian. I tried a modern form of teaching in the beginning of 2011 - teaching online, it's very creative and convenient. If you live close, we can have lessons in person, at the library or at home.
Depending on the area we need to work, the focus of the lesson will vary, but more often my students need all four skills to develop (speaking, listening, writing and reading). Russian is one of my top subjects! I am a native speaker, but that doesn't make me a good teacher. What makes me a good teacher is that I have a background in linguistics and I speak four languages. I know what it takes to learn and teach a language. Simply speaking the language, doesn't mean you can teach the language. When working with individual students, I come up with a teaching method that would target the student's goals and needs. I adjust my method to student's style and preferences which makes the lessons more effective, and the student learns faster and retains the learned material better.
