Since graduating from Baptist Bible College in 2006, I have been teaching high school English in Indiana for six years now. I taught three years at Bethesda Christian School in Brownsburg, where I spanned English 9, 10, 11, Senior Speech, and Advanced Composition for seniors. In 2010 I began teaching at Faith Christian School in Lafayette; there I taught English 9, 10, and 11. I was also the Yearbook Advisor two years at Faith. July 1, 2013, I had my first baby, and I have decided to stay at home and raise her instead of returning to the classroom. I studied abroad in the northeast region of Brasil for a year studying the language and living with brasilians and learning their culture. I have travelled to many different parts of the country and have grasped a strong understanding of the country's culture as a whole while also finding the regional differences. I prefer the submersion approach. Listening to the language in movies, music, and also experiencing parts of the culture all help to learning a language.
