I have been teaching science courses at Claflin University as Peer Tutor for six months. Also,I am a teaching assistant for Java Programming Class in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. As a tutor, I help the fresh students who have difficulty catching up the course assignments so that they could at least get credit to take other courses. As I have worked with these students who struggling very hard with basic requirements of sciences, I guess I am very sensitive towards student's ability and expectation. Nevertheless, I don't stop to push students to their limit as seem fit to me.

A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching chemistry in 1964. During my child-raising years, I did a lot of substitute teaching in various subjects, and worked at part-time and temporary classroom teaching and tutoring. My longest position was at University of Massachusetts, Lowell campus, (1993 through 2004, before moving to Florida), teaching 3 different levels of Freshman Chemistry. I have tutored chemistry, math, and biology in Florida since 2007, as an employee of Advanced Learning Center, St. Petersburg, until 2011, and independently to the present time. A major portion has been at Shorecrest Prep, St Petersburg, 2007 to now. I have met students at school, home, libraries and other public places. Before I started teaching, I engaged in cancer and space research.
