A Little Bit About Me...

My industrial experience working as a design/drafter lead me to attend college at CSULB, graduating in 1974. I later worked 23 years as a teacher, incorporating math within the drafting curriculum. I was fortunute to teach many types of drafting. Each and every one of them had math applications from basic arithmetic to geometry built into the class. During the last 8 to 10 years since retiring I have also tutored at Sylvan, covering many topics for Elementary to High School. I completed a Masters Degree in Education in 1991 at CSULB as well.
Drafting is a Industial Arts subject. Students apply math skills to complete assignments. Math students can utilize practical uses to understand the theory of math. I will use many examples from my years of teaching to explain math. My tutoring background will also aid me in connecting the theory with the hands-on skills.
