I believe that each student has a unique learning style of that must be discovered in real-time. Therefore I tailor the lessons towards an open, organic, collaborative process. I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. I teach so called "classical" reading, and improvisation, once basics are under control.
I started teaching in 1988 as a college student. I played in the US Army Band. Upon graduation, I taught band and orchestra in Wichita KS public schools.
