My comments on tutoring Journalism : My Bachelors has a focus on broadcast journalism, but I also spent a few semesters on the college newspaper and I have a lot of experience with the hard and soft skills of journalism

I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups. I have also been asked to teach small groups of children about art, or help with general homework on numerous occasions.
I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! My comments on tutoring Journalism : My first job was writing for the local newspaper as a journalist and photographer for the local newspaper in my hometown of Santa Fe. A lot of what I did for The Santa Fe New Mexican I use on a regular basis to improve on my writing style, my skills, grammar and creativity to allow the reader to become aware of what they're reading.

My first job right after turning 16 was working as a photographer and journalist for the local newspaper in my hometown. My main job was working with the teen section; GeneratioNext asking questions, taking polls, and writing articles that were teen related to teen issues, college and continuing education, and career goals.
