I enjoy teaching and helping students learn. I can do this best in small settings, in which I can learn what the students’ current knowledge level and then determine what I can do to challenge them and lead them along intellectually. On that road to progress, I give encouraging positive reinforcement. I hold an undergraduate degree in German from Concordia University in Seward, NE (1999). In addition to studying German, I studied Latin, Biblical Greek, and Biblical Hebrew. While at Concordia, I began to tutor my classmates in foreign languages. While completing my two bachelors’ degrees, I worked as a Spanish tutor for the foreign language department. My experience as a Spanish tutor gave me the opportunity to substitute for teachers as well as to correct homework and exams. In my current job I have earned experience translating real time information as well as transcribing documents used in court. I have worked in both the public and private school settings and have 20 years teaching experience.
