My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I have taught reading in the elementary and middle schools. Students need to comprehend or understand what they read. I teach strategies to assist the learner in understanding information read. Involved in learning to read is developing vocabulary, also identifying main idea/details and other skills essential to becoming a proficient reader.
