My favorite part about teaching is the moment of sudden understanding that you can see in a student's eyes when they've got it. The challenge, of course, is getting to that moment, especially in a subject like math or science. While certain subjects may come easier to some people than to others, I do not believe that anyone is "incapable" of understanding and excelling in any field of study. My first duty as a tutor is to build a rapport with my students by showing them that I take my tutoring responsibilities very seriously, and letting them know that I expect the same from them during our time together. My teaching style is very classical in the sense that I prefer to ask the student questions about their work in the hopes that they will find their own answer.
