My comments on tutoring CSS : I have about five years of experience with CSS and I can help students both with the syntax of CSS and with creating effects such as centered content blocks and rollover effects.

I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.
I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. At Adult Basic and Literature Education, I serve as a math and grammar tutor in the GED and ESOL programs. Also, I assist the students on how to obtain basic computer techniques so that they can operate the computer. I am able to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and read French. As for my technical, web designing, and software knowledge, I have a background in computer troubleshooting, Adobe Photoshop, HMTL, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etcetera. For five years, I was a substitute teacher for grades K-5 in English as a Second Language, Special Education and Art classes. A child's imagination is my lesson plan

I start with a couple simple video games that teach the basics, and then we follow our imaginations from there. The best project ideas come from a kid's mind and it can take us in any direction. I don't follow a set lesson plan, but have plenty of projects up my sleeve if they're needed.
I've been fascinated with computer programming since I was 8 and found a book about Fortran in my grandma's encyclopedia set. Our school had a handful of computers but no programmers. There was a single book in the library that I had checked out constantly until the librarian finally just let me have it when I graduated 8th grade. Sixteen years in multimedia including Graphics, Web, Flash, and Video. Taught for four years at the college level at High-Tech Institute and two years at LaGrange High school. I've worked for large and small corporations. I've done freelance for Aquent.com, who is known for hiring only top notch designers and developers, in our field of Graphic Communications or multimedia. I've also done freelance for Marriott Hotel. This was very fun and did complete rug designs in Illustrator. I do have experience as an Instructor, Art Director, and as the Designer or Developer.
My teaching style is hands on. I challenge each student and help their progress. I also provide real world applications. For example they must create a mask in Photoshop and create a 5 page website with HTML, CSS and include files.

I have plenty of experience working on personal, university, and job related projects. Notable projects I have worked on would include creating a mobile study app for the Genetic Counseling degree at Boise State University, creating a back-end staff directory service/database for the New York Public Library, and plenty of Flutter projects.
I prefer to teach by doing, as I believe that performing tasks and becoming familiar with the process is more beneficial than wrote memorization or written assignments/quizzes. I like to get to know my student, where they are in their studies, and what they feel they need to work on versus what they already know.
