Math and Physics Tutor

I follow the "EDGE" method for teaching: Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable. I will explain the material, demonstrate it with an example, guide the student through working through a problem, and then enable the student to work independently while still being available for questions. I also try to connect what the student is learning to real-life applications, especially ones that resonate with the student's interests. I find that learning is most effective when the students can connect it to what they personally find meaningful.

Have mentored students in a relaxed manner as well as in a strict scheduled manner, can do both. For Math/Sciences I generally use example problems to help learn a core concept then use an application style problem to help the student solidify their understanding, rather than just memorize the process. Strong skills editing a students writing, both creative and technical. I enjoy coding and CAD and have developed a few methods that the student can use to help them debug issues. I had locally taught middle and high school since 2015. Since then teaching has been my passion, and I have taught over 20 students of middle school to high school in one on one tutoring. I taught college students for a short period of time. I had the experience of teaching of different calibers and successfully improving their grades. I once taught a student who was failing in mathematics and but I was successfully able to make him achieve a B grade.

My comments on tutoring CAD : CAD or Computer Assisted Drafting includes 2D and 3D drawings that are used to describe either what something looks like or how it functions by itself or along with other items it will be integrated with. As with most of the subjects listed here, CAD is a means of making work more efficient and of presenting a more professional appearance as opposed to a hand sketch. Sketchup and AutoCAD are two examples of the many CAD softwares available today.

While I have not received a degree in any of the fields that I am experienced enough to tutor in, I have been working in the Audio Visual industry for over 12 years and have learned a great many things that are essential to successful use of any of these tools.Whether you live near me in North Carolina or in Hawaii and need my assistance, please feel free to drop me a line and lets see what I can do to help you.
