English is my first language and I enjoy the subject, but I love creative writing more. I'm more familiar with pre-school and elementary literature and basic semantics and syntax. Utilizing multiple intelligences to aid in tutoring students is important to helping all students improve their skills in all disciplines. Patience, perseverance and a sense of humor along with supporting not only the student, but the family is very important. Tutoring is a way to address the specific needs of the student when it's not possible to do one on one teaching sessions when the student needs more time on task.
