Physics is one of my top subjects!

I enjoy teaching and help others learn the subjects of math, science and Spanish. Everyone is different and therefore everyone has a different style of learning. Therefore, my first responsibility as a tutor is to understand the best method of learning of the student and use it to maximize the potential for the student, in grasping the subject. While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class. During this opportunity I was responsible for grading the daily work of our students, as well as being a resource for the students design projects. I taught lectures based on film theory and design, as well as specific pieces of film.
I myself am a visual and auditory learner, so I am very open to all types of teaching styles. I find that people learn better when several avenues of learning are available for a subject. I use an encouraging, cooperative method to gradually uncovering the essence of the plan. I will not move on until they 'get it'. A Little Bit About Me...

I have left the corporate after 18 years to pursue teaching. I have two bachelors degrees in physics & mech. engineering. I want to put these to use and make an impact on kids in my community. I have been pursuing a lateral teaching entry position, while substituting. I am mentoring with a local teacher and have finished a course in effective teaching. I am tutoring at my church and reading education material, along with boning up on science material.
I am by nature an encourager. I am optimistic every child can learn -- the trick is to spark an interest in the subject and communicate the material to them in an understandable way.
