Experience Summary
I graduated from Oregon State University this year with double Honors BS degrees in Earth Science (with a Climatology focus) and Environmental Economics & Politics. I also have a Minor in Political Science.
My Honors Thesis, which is in the final stages of submission, is on the testing of a new variable mixing efficiency variable for use in our current climate models.
I am an inductee of Phi Beta Kappa, the most prestigious college Honors Society in the US.
In high school, I almost exclusively took honors classes and AP classes. I can confidently teach any subject that is taught in grade school. I have experience with AP tests, the SAT, and the GRE. I spent two years abroad during high school in Astana, Kazakhstan and come from a Russian background, so I am a native Russian and English speaker.
As for tutoring experience, the closest I have is with the tutoring in elementary math and science of my brother and his friends, who were ages 8-10 at the time. Other than this, I have no experience but consider teaching to be one of my strengths. I am looking for tutoring work this fall because I am taking a gap year before grad school.
