ADULTS ONLY!
I keep instructions simple and structured. Use props, charts, and other visual aids.
Vary the pace and include different kinds of activities. Many students with ADHD do well with competitive games or other activities that are rapid and intense.
Organizing tips and prioritizing tasks. Micro-tasks and willingness to commit two hours to changing habits per week. Use time management and productivity apps. I will teach you how! It doesn't matter if it's a day planner, a smartphone app, or just a plain old desk calendar. Keep it in one spot and check it at least three times a day. Make it a habit to check at the same times each day. |

The idea is to explore—see with a writer’s eyes, spark ideas to life, gain confidence, and experiment with both fiction and nonfiction. Voice and personality, writing as therapy, illusions about writing, legend and mythos, and other areas where a creative writer may find inspiration, advice or enlightening conjecture. |
My approach is about emotion, imagery, visualization. Closing electronics to experience life situations until the typing stage. Topics to generate ideas for Writing include; Reflection of oneself and others as well as place, career and relationship situations. Firsthand interactions like a date can ignite into pages of emotion. When the imagination grasps all five senses, words truly flow out.
Personal or public sharing within the comfort of your own freewill. When face to face with any of these examples, things become more apparent. Angry situations or people turn into having a broadened control of voice and action. A narrative possibly aligned to expose the tender side of things and seek a deeper understanding. Or maybe it's words on a page with no reflection just venting. Whatever the case may be, I teach how to write free verse poetry from the creative side since free verse has few rules for structure.
With discussions after writing, an open forum for questions about life and poetry. A tool for anyone, prior Writing skills not necessary.
