Experience Summary
I have worked with high school and college chemistry students doing tutoring for the last five years, and I have been a teaching assistant for honors general chemistry II for the past three years. The students that I have worked with have had great success in their chemistry courses, and many have gotten the grade that they wanted to get in the class. I have helped with homework problems, preparation for exams, and going over lecture material in order to clarify uncertain areas.
Teaching Style
I prefer to work either one-on-one with students or in small groups, so that I am better able to address any specific concerns the student may have. I have worked with nearly 200 students and from this experience I have learned many ways of presenting material and am willing to work with you to find the presentation that makes the material clear to you. I have also gained a series of tips and tricks that help to keep easily confused information straight. As a tutor I want it to be enjoyable, but I want you to learn also, so I typically have a focused but relaxed tutoring environment.
My Hobbies
I like to spend my free time doing craft project and hanging out with my two yorkies, Jake and Jasper.
