Experience Summary
Hello! Hajimemashite!
I recently returned (June 2018) from my study abroad at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, or APU! I studied and lived there for about three years. My major was in Asia Studies and Japanese Culture, Society and Media. I was able to get an equivalent of N3 on the JLPT(Japanese Language Proficiency Test). While i'm not natively "fluent”, I was able to live and navigate daily life independently. I was also a TA for multiple classes while I attended my own curriculum.
Learning Japanese and about Japanese culture has always been a passion of mine and I hope I can share some tips and tricks I learned to help pick up the language more easily.
Teaching Style
One on One learning!
I'm here to help those who know zero and want to start, as well as beginners learn and practice the basics of Japanese including the 3 writing systems, grammar, pronunciation, and native usage! I will provide some learning materials from an official textbook so you won't need to buy. No direct testing, though can direct clients to sources to hone your skills.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include many of the quintessential young Japanese activities like, watching Japanese movies and anime, trying my hand at many styles of cooking, and reading Japanese manga. I was an avid bowler, too! I can play a bit of the ukulele and love watching and analyzing films and movies. But also integrating Japanese into my everyday life. I'm kind of a nerd.

There are many components to Japanese that can be challenging, but with guidance, the challenge will be rewarding. Issho ni tanoshimimasho!
