About Me

Experience Summary

I am a Columbia University graduate with active FINRA Series 3, 7, 55 and 63 licenses, all exams were taken once, and I passed with superb scores. After graduating Columbia I started work at a Futures trading firm and acquired my NFA Series 3 license. In addition to constructing intra / inter commodity derivative trading spreads, and hedging oil refinery risk, I always found it so rewarding to help my fellow colleagues who were in the process of studying for their exams. I found out that I not only had a special talent to adjust my teaching methodology to individual students and their needs, but that I received enormous joy seeing my colleagues (students) grow and succeed due to my help. I worked on Wall Street for another four years and acquired my FINRA Series 7, 55, and 63 licenses before I decided to make full time tutoring FINRA examinations a reality. I could not be any happier. The greatest fulfillment I get in this business is to see my students literally transform into confident, upright, test takers, and discard the shell of fear and indecision. I’m a true believer in that positive thoughts make positive things happen. My focus is to put a student’s fears at ease, giving them a structure that has proven 500+ students to date to pass the FINRA Series 7 exam. My plan is to help you achieve this not by memorizing formulas, and lists, but to understand the underlying concepts that govern the topics in the Series 7 exam. This has profound results as conceptual thinking sticks. I have tutored students for all the major bulge bracket firms and wirehouses; namely, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Blackrock, Jane Street, Jeffries, Wells Fargo, etc. I have also tutored many students from small Wall Street B/Ds. A recent highlight was when I tutored the Series 7 and 63 exams to the creator of distressed debt trading for a win when the industry decided regulation was needed. He had 30+ years of experience on Wall, invented an industry from the ground up, and was one of the first 90 individuals approved for an American Express Centurion Card in the world. My adaptability across all age groups, demographics, and experience levels is second to none. If you have 30+ years experience as an executive requiring a new FINRA license due to regulatory changes or are fresh out of college and a new hire at a B/D, I can guide you to that win you deserve and need. My current students are a first-year analyst at Blackrock, and a senior financial services professional at the Wells Fargo Headquarters. I'm skilled at working with quite a diverse range of students including an ex – DJ breaking out into the financial business, and the head client service associate of the number three ranked PWM fund by Barron’s. Moreover, funding was approved by the six founding members of the PWM group, not the student. I get business done and my name on Wall Street as a tutor is a known quantity. Teaching Style

I am a Columbia University graduate with active FINRA Series 3, 7, 55 and 63 licenses, all exams taken once, passing with superb grades. I scored 90% on the Series 7. The Series 7 exam is a difficult test of both your knowledge and your stamina. You've got to pass or your brokerage firm hire means nothing. Here's how we can make that recent hire or promotion mean something. A proven, structured program, adapted to fit your needs, whether all-encompassing or only for that "one section" you just can't seem to master. As much theory as you need, as many practice tests and questions as you can handle, with clarifications and explanations so that you know the material. More importantly, the concept-based teaching methods I employ stick with the student, because I focus on approaching the question with real world examples, and break it down conceptually. If you know the concept, reaching the destination becomes a matter of course rather than an arduous trek through the land of wrote memorization. Be ready to work! Be ready to learn!

My Hobbies
