Experience Summary

I have never tutored professionally before. However, I am conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and speak business-level Japanese, and have been studying both for a number of years. I have a strong grasp of both languages, and coming from an Asian-language-home background, I understand it can be difficult for others who have never studied languages from an early age to grasp learning a new language as you get older. I would prefer working with the materials provided to me, as I am unable to access my previous course materials. I currently live in Tokyo, Japan, and would prefer to tutor students who are willing to take lessons in the morning or the evening (USA East Coast Time), just as that would be easier on my schedule!

Chinese	This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Experienced
I studied abroad in China for 4 months, and was able to go from no knowledge of the language to conversationally fluent (with a lot of hard work) in those few months. I then supplemented my knowledge with university classes and finished all Chinese courses (up to 400-level senior courses) they had to offer by my second year of college.

I attended language school in Tokyo, Japan for 1.5 years before graduating, and can speak business-level Japanese. I also currently live in Tokyo, and use Japanese for both work and daily life.
