Experience Summary
I am currently a junior in high school and have a strong passion for languages. In fact, I take two languages: French and Spanish. However, I find Spanish to be my favorite language. I am in level 4 of these two classes. At home, I speak Urdu, my first language. While I spoke Urdu as a child, my family had me learn to read and write Arabic.
English is also one of my stronger subjects, which allows me to understand concepts when learning different languages.
Teaching Style
With a beginning student, I will first teach them the basics of Spanish (numbers, pronunciation of letters, etc.). Once the student progresses, I can start with fun exercises that will enable the child to understand and memorize basic phrases in Spanish. As the material continues and the child improves, the language will become harder; however, I have speaking and writing activities planned that could help the student learn the language.
My Hobbies
During my leisure time, I enjoy reading autobiographies, creative writing, running with my cross country team, and helping students at my school with Spanish.
Other Comments
I may be a junior in high school, but if your child is struggling with Spanish, I am more than willing to help. Some may see Spanish as unimportant, but learning this language will help your child get healthy jobs in the future and communicate with foreign people.
