Experience Summary
ACCOUNTING: Proficient knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP, accounting processes and reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting, cost accounting, financial/ERP systems, budgeting and forecasting, consolidations, auditing and accounting controls. My current job involves training accountants in all aspects of general and cost accounting in order that they may better maintain financial records and interpret results to business owners. I also tutor college students (including my son who is majoring in accounting), in beginning accounting classes through to those who wish to pursue their CPA.
MATH: With over ten years of math tutoring experience, I have assisted elementary, high school and college students in their understanding of the particular subject's fundamentals. I have taught in both individual and group settings and am consistently keeping up with the trends of today's methods of teaching.
Teaching Style
I bring it down to the basics and teach in a manner where I want anyone to be able to understand. Application of both math and accounting questions/problems to daily life also helps students better understand what is being asked.
