Experience Summary
Taught ESL for more than twenty-five years across Canada and internationally. Lived and taught in Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Costa Rica and United States.
I was a teacher-trainer for Oxford Seminars, where I taught teacher-candidates how to teach ESL for international classrooms. I was responsible for instructing and then certifying teacher-candidates.
I am a life-long artist, graduated from Laguna Beach High School, which was at the time a fine-art and performance school. I have more than ten years of community college Fine Arts experience and my minor in University was Fine Arts.
Teaching Style
Dynamic, personable, enthusiastic and creative. I love using music, art, humor and even some acting in my teaching style, and I enjoy crafting fun and exciting lesson plans that engage my students in real-life scenarios where their new language skills may best benefit them.
My Hobbies
Music, art, writing, animals (my husband is a veterinarian and we have pets). Travel, adventure.
